Why this exists
Too many marketing stats are copied from roundups, not from the study
Of the 264 widely quoted stats we traced, only 137 hold up as quoted: 39 are misquoted, 55 are outdated, and 33 have no primary source at all. The “$5.78 influencer ROI” was earned media value, not revenue. Nielsen’s “92% trust” asked about people you know, not influencers.

Who does the research?
The GroundedKit team, with AI assistance. Every verdict links the primary document we opened, so you can check any line in one click. We don’t ask you to trust us; we show you the source.
Is my deck confidential?
Yes. We never publish your asset or name you as a customer. General stats we trace may be added to the public registry with no link to you. Files are deleted 30 days after delivery.
What if my asset has more than 15 stats?
We’ll email before starting and let you choose: we check the 15 that matter most, or you upgrade to XL for the $80 difference. We never charge more without asking.
Can you check our own internal data?
We can’t verify private data. We’ll mark it “internal, not publicly verifiable” and suggest how to cite it so it holds up.
